Pavilion is known for its two large indoor tropical atriums, creating a relaxed garden-like atmosphere. 

The hotel also offers spacious rooms and apartments, free parking and Wi-Fi, onsite dining at Atrium Restaurant & Bar, a newly refurbished outdoor pool, a gym located on level 2, and easy access to Canberra’s top attractions. 

What are the hotel check-in and check-out times?

Check-in is from 2:00 pm (1400hrs) and check-out is 10:00 am (1000hrs). Early check-in and late check-out may be available subject to availability. Late check-outs may incur additional charges. Reception is open 24 hours. 

Where is Pavilion on Northbourne located?

Pavilion on Northbourne is located at 242 Northbourne Avenue, Dickson, Canberra ACT 2602. The hotel is conveniently positioned minutes from the Canberra CBD with light rail access right outside the front door, making it easy to explore major attractions.

Are pets allowed at Pavilion on Northbourne?

Pavilion on Northbourne does not permit pets. If you have an animal onsite at the hotel it is considered a breach of your accommodation conditions and you will be asked to leave or remove the animal.

Guide dogs are permitted and must have a medallion on their collar with the registration number and the owner must also carry a laminated pass (with the owner and dog’s name). Guide Dogs are required to be harnessed in public areas. Please advise ahead of time if you will be travelling with a Guide Dog.

Is Pavilion on Northbourne a non-smoking hotel?

Pavilion on Northbourne is a non-smoking hotel and smoking in the internal suite is not permitted. Fines will apply to guests who do not adhere to this policy.

Yes, Pavilion on Northbourne has five event spaces available for business and corporate functions, weddings, and private events.

Does the hotel have dining options onsite?

Yes, the Atrium Restaurant & Bar is open seven days a week for breakfast, lunch and dinner set amidst the tropical atrium. We also have 24-hour room service.

Is there a swimming pool or gym at Pavilion on Northbourne?

Yes, both our outdoor swimming pool and fitness centre, located on Level 2, are open 6am to 9pm for guests to enjoy.

Do you have room service?

The hotel is pleased to provide 24 hour room service.

Is parking available at the hotel?

Yes, Pavilion offers free secure onsite parking.

Does Pavilion on Northbourne offer free Wi-Fi?

Yes, complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel for all guests.

Yes, rooms include TVs, tea and coffee, free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and a work desk to support both leisure and business travellers. Our one- and two-bedroom apartments also include a fully equipped kitchen with refrigerator and separate living area.

Are apartments suitable for families or longer stays?

Yes, Pavilion’s one and two-bedroom apartments feature separate living areas, kitchen facilities, and comfortable spaces, making them perfect for families, groups, or extended stays.

What types of accommodation does Pavilion offer?

The hotel offers a variety of room types including Atrium Queen Rooms, Atrium King Rooms, Spa Suites, One-Bedroom Apartments, and Two-Bedroom Apartments, ideal for couples, families, or longer stays.

How can I save on my booking?

Guests can enjoy 10% off their accommodation when they book direct with Pavilion on Northbourne, or take advantage of our Prepaid Advance Saver when you book 28 days in advance. 

To save on breakfast, our Bed & Buffet Breakfast Package is available year round.
Look out also for our exhibition packages with the National Gallery of Australia and the National 
Museum of Australia throughout the year, as well as other great seasonal offers.

What is your cancellation/refund policy?

Pavilion on Northbourne has a 24 hour cancellation policy. Cancellations and changes need to be made directly with the hotel by 2pm the day before or you will be charged the full amount of the first changed or cancelled night. Please note there will be strictly NO changes or refunds available for Advance Saver reservations.

Bookings made through third-party or external platforms are subject to the cancellation policies and fees set by those providers. As these policies are managed independently, Pavilion on Northbourne is unable to amend or control third-party bookings.

Do I need a credit card to make a booking?

Yes, a credit card is required at the time of booking. The credit card guaranteeing the reservation will be charged at the time of booking. Payment for your entire stay and incidentals is required at check-in. Any credit card being used must be presented by the card holder to be accepted. A 1.25% on Visa and Mastercard, 3.25% on Amex and 3.5% on Diners credit card fee applies to all charges. If you do not arrive on the first day of your reservation and you do not alert the hotel, your reservation will be released and 100% of accommodation charged.


For high demand periods and special events, different payment policies that require pre-payment may apply.

On arrival at the hotel a credit card pre-authorisation is required from all guests. The credit card pre-authorisation total is equal to the amount of total accommodation costs, plus $100.00. Should you have already pre-paid your accommodation, a pre-authorisation of $100.00 only is required. While no money will be transferred from your credit card to the hotel’s account until check out, your bank or credit union may hold these funds under guarantee to the hotel, which may affect your access to the reserved funds. 


The payment policy will be confirmed at time of reservation. If the payment policy is not adhered to the reservation may be cancelled. We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Diners. All amounts are charged in $AU (Australian dollars).
Cash payments will not be accepted.
